Between Here & There

Overview

I created a 2-minute short film titled Between Here and There, a visual story with no dialogue. The film follows a lonely young woman trapped in a controlling relationship who escapes into a dreamlike city through music and a glowing TV, exploring themes of freedom, illusion, and self-discovery.

Approach

I focused on visual storytelling, using lighting, color, and composition to convey emotion and narrative without dialogue. Music and sound design guided the mood and pacing, while careful editing created a seamless transition between the protagonist’s reality and the dreamlike world, emphasizing her internal struggle and ultimate choice. I used adobe premiere pro to edit.
