Mrs. Vangies Psych Shop

Overview

Mrs. Vangie’s Psych Shop was a live production created in my Campus Broadcast II class. I collaborated with a team of three to produce a short, comedic segment centered around a psychic giving a dramatic reading. The plot follows a crew member who misinterprets the psychic’s message as a warning of their impending death—leading to an over-the-top, humorous panic.

Approach

In my role as Production Manager, I oversaw all on-floor operations, ensuring the crew stayed organized and in sync during the live shoot. I acted as the key communicator between the floor and the producer, helping the production run smoothly in real-time. I also contributed creatively—helping brainstorm the script, assisting with set design, and bringing in props to enhance the scene. My role required strong leadership, quick thinking, and teamwork to bring the comedic vision to life in a live setting.
